ACT Ottawa as the only community theatre in Franklin County provides a vital dimension to the cultural and entertainment life of the community. Deeply involved on a community level ACT Ottawa provides audiences with quality live theatre and programming and is actively engaged in creating a sense of community. ACT Ottawa BOD members serve as advisory committee members, and liaisons with a variety of service, non-profit, commerce and community building organizations. Through these partnerships ACT Ottawa continues to promote the Performance Arts as a vehicle for exploration and change.    Opportunities abound for participation, whether it is acting on stage, behind the scenes crew work, or volunteering on the Board of Directors. However, Tallulah Bankhead said it best, “If you want to help the American theatre, don't be an actress, be an audience.”
